The Oakwood Neighborhood Association offers many programs for seniors, at-risk youth, and families. These include:
Building Blocks - A collaboration between WMU and the neighborhoods, this program brings together neighbors to build a sense of community through working together on projects that improve the look of the houses particpating in the project. After-school Youth Tutoring Program - Working in conjunction with the City of Kalamazoo Parks and Recreation Department, this program offers a safe place for school-aged youth to receive tutoring with their homework and a healthy snack.
